Astoria Neighborhood
Astoria is known for having the best restaurants in the borough of Queens. It’s no wonder, and a walk down Ditmars Boulevard will score you a seat at some of the greatest Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Astoria’s greatest attribute is its sense of community and ethnic diversity that it still holds on to. In spite of recent development, this neighborhood has undergone positive changes, but they have not affected its feel as a working class neighborhood. Astoria is home to the Museum of the Moving Image, Bohemian Hall (NYC’s oldest beer garden), and Steinway & Sons piano factory.
